Our group was awarded the First Prize of Fujian Provincial Natural Science Award for the project 'High-Spatial-Resolution In Situ Spectroscopic Electrochemical Instrumentation, Methodology, and Applications.
This project focus on the precise characterization of surfaces and interfaces. We developed and established the novel in situ spectroscopic electrochemical approaches with nanoscale spatial resolution. This method enables the precise characterization of surface or interface species and the structure-property relationships of active sites within model systems such as metal single crystals, bimetallic catalysts, and two-dimensional materials. By precisely correlating structure with function at nanoscale and molecular level, this work provides critical guidance for designing novel, highly efficient catalysts and catalytic processes.
